Orky Tau Allies: Where Fungus meets Fish

Send in the Fire Grots! This is a Fire Warrior with Fantasy Goblin legs (not Night gobbo). I slapped him on a piece of cork, so that I am not modeling for advantage.

I am trying to fit in some bare headed gobbos, but their heads will require some green stuffing since they lack a back.

The Orky Broadside is a work in progress. The big shoulder guns are Killa Kan skorchas (who even uses those?). The Rocket arm is a Killa Kan missile arm with a ork boy shoulder pad covering the joint. The legs are Killa Kan arms with Killa Kan feet. I need to decide what to do for the other arm since I am running out of missile arms.

Meet da Boss: Krumpa Sam - Hero of the Waaagh

Gentlemen, we can rebuild him.........

We have the technology........

We have the capability to build the world's first bionic man. .........

Better, stronger, faster............

I got tired of my plain jane AoBR boss, so I decided to give him some ZAZZ. Now, he is all spiffy. Rocking the jetpack Attack squig and all.

Now, I just need to decide if he should be based off Uncle Sam or Abraham Lincoln colors.

Also, here is what caused the peg-leg, my painboy conversion.
He can actually cause REAL pain.

Team Fortress 2 Orks: "Spahz krumpin' mah sentrah!"

SANDVICH!!! My game-bro, the Viking Librarian, finished converting up my Team Fortress 2 Orks. I love em! They got a lot of style and they capture Steam's flavor, while still being Orky. These figures will be a blast to paint up.
My only conundrum is what to count the squad as. They are too diversely equipped to represent Kommandos, so I may have to spread them throughout my army. They can always represent a Nob squad, but that is what my Marvel Super-Herorks are for. I like having the problem of too many Orks.

The Heavy standing large and in charge. He will most likely be the Nob of the Kommandos.

Pyro ork making gits do the "Burney Dance."

Spy Ork is going to get a Space Marine helmet painted on his mask. What chapter?

Soldier Ork makes me laugh, but I have a weakness for silly hats.

Snippa Ork also has a dapper hat. Thankfully, no Jarate!

Engineer Ork has an impressive wrench. He is my buddy's favorite. ZE GOGGLES!

Medic Ork is dealing out the feel-no-pain. I dig the Medi-Saw. Supposedly, no blood was spilled making it, too!

Ingenious use of bits for the Medi-Pack. Bravo!

Demo Ork is chargin'! I hate the Charging Demo in TF2!

Scout Ork is speedy with his cap. The cybork part will be painted like a Bonk Cola to fit the character, too.

Group shot! Now, I just need to decide which team to paint them as, blue or red....

Gorken Morkann: Drill, Baby, Drill.

The drills came in from a Lego Rock Raider set for my 40k Orks Deff Dread, which is actually a Mega Dread if you go by size...Anyway, I threw some more gubbins on the big guy to round him out. He is built out of the following components.

++ 1 Deff Dread
++ 3 Killa Kan bodies (1 for the head, 2 for the legs)
++ 2 Lego Rock Raider Drills (not pointy enough, but I may change that)
++ The driver from a Trukk kit for the pilot

Look who got some plasticard shades like his little buddy.

Are the drills big enough? I gotta open up those Razorbacks for their creamy centers...

See the magic here? It's literally a Deff Dread standing atop 2 Killa Kans hulls, Voltron-style.

I filled the gaps in the back of the Kan hulls with glyphs like a good Ork Mek.

Here you can see how the pilot sits atop a Kan as well. Also, covered with glyphs and the grill of a Trukk.

Back view aka the "money maker."

True Line of Sight can suck an egg. I guess I have even more reason to run a KFF now, huh?

Da Krump Kroozer: Ork Battlewagon Conversion

Behold, da Krump Kroozer in all of it's plasticard glory! It started it's life as a trukk made from a Rhino, but I loved the model too much to see it get blown up by bolter fire. Also, I love trukks, but 12 ork boys wasn't cutting the mustard. Thus, I did what any mek would do and tricked that bad boy out.

I tried my hardest to keep the dimensions as close to the official model, so no one could cry foul in "modeling for advantage." Also, I am from the camp that believes if a ork vehicles doesn't have a face/gob, it's not Orky enough.

I must admit that the treads come from a Gundam toy, Gun-Tank to be specific. I would have used the battlewagon treads, but they are too expensive. Also, I traded for this battlewagon, so the paint job is not mine.

The next question is this. I have 2 Land Raiders. Do I use them with my Dark Angels or do I ork them up for 2 more battlewagons? Their fate is in your hands readers...

AoBR Orks to a Blood Bowl Team: Make it Choppy

I wanted to start Blood Bowl, and I have an abundance of Boyz. Seemed like an easy conclusion to me. Kitbash a team up.

Here are the 3 linemen. They have rounded shoulder pads and look block-ey.

These lads are my blitzers. They have the knuckle dusters, which are the chainsaw blade ork arms with the blades lopped off.

Black Ork Blockers are based off of AoBR nobz.

The thrower, not that orks have much of a passing game. Probably shouldn't have a boss pole, but how else does he exert his dominance over the other players?

I colored the boyz off of the University of Kansas' away colors, my Undergraduate college.  I am proud of how they turned out. I am tempted to color the pass rims, to better differentiate between the different player types; thrower, blocker, lineman, and passer.

Now, I just need a game board....
