Krump Kroozer - Battlewagon Rolling Out!
I finally painted this battlewagon up. It was my first ork conversion, too!. Painting it was a blast and easy since I mainly just sprayed red and then went over all the edges with Boltgun paint.
While painting orks, I find that there is a zen between painting terribly and painting orky.
The tracks are from a Gundam Gun Tank toy that I sacrificed to Gork and Mork.
Git's eye view....

MegaArmor Warboss: Ton'ee Stork the Iron Git
Blame the Iron Man 3 trailer and Ozzy for making me paint up my converted Warboss in Iron Man colors. I have an idea of having Ton'ee Stork a.k.a. "Iron Git" leading a group of Avengers style ork Nobs. Maybe my Bad Moons raided a comic book shop planet? Worst planet ever....
Sorry for the drop in picture quality, but it is easier to snap a pic with my new phone while drinking the morning coffee.
Look at my assembly line of Ork boyz in the background...Round 2 of yellow spray, green wash shoota boyz.

Master of the Forge on Bike: Converting Conversion Beamer
I have always dreamed off an army of Dreadnoughts. I chose to follow my dreams and kitbashed up a quick Master of the Forge on a bike. An important note is that the techmarine forfeits his servo-harness for the Conversion Beamer, thus the lack of tentacle goodness.
Here is the Bits Breakdown
++ Techmarine shoulder pads and heads from the Space Marine vehicle sprue.
++ An auspex from the Space Marine Tactical squad accessory sprue.
++ A Lascannon from the Imperial Guard heavy weapons box.
++ The front end of a random Necron gun from the Desolation Barge.
++ The back end of said Necron gun glued to the side of the Beamer.
++ The radar dish from the Space Marine vehicle spure glued to the butt of the Beamer.
I am going to paint his armor up red and let him stalk the edges of the game table since his gun is beefed up to S10 AP1 blast if the Master of the Forge is far enough away. The bike makes him relentless, so he can move and fire his heavy weapon. I have fears of him running by himself, but a bike squad would be wasted on him since the bikers will want to get within 24 inches. Decisions, decisions.

Scratch-built Mega Armor Warboss: Tony Danza Extravaganza
It was time to get a real Warboss to lead my ork mobs. 6th gives lots of reasons to go with Mega Armor and it isn't much more expensive than just giving the boss a power klaw. The only official Mega Armor model is Ghazkull and I didn't want him, so it was time to convert up my own. I was inspired first by his sneaker-looking Killa Kan legs.
He isn't much bigger than the Black Reach warboss, either. I've been saving that head to make a boss for months now. I fully admit to humming "Iron Man" while making the boss.
Boss Recipe
++ Killa Kan legs and feet w/ Killa Kan knee pads
++ Torso base - Trukk Engine w/ a boy shoulder pad on the lower torso and Kan pad on upper
++ Arm is the grabbing klaw from the battlewagon kit
++ Shooty arm is a Killa Kan arm with a biker gun and Kan big shoota
++ Head is from the Black Ork standard and 2 armor plates from Killa kan skorchas
++ The exhausts come from Killa Kans and a trukk
Here is my new Boom Wagon, which a friend dubbed the "Cookie Monsta."
Also, I am punishing myself with another 30 mob of boyz. Second verse, same as first.

Orky Tau Allies: Where Fungus meets Fish
Send in the Fire Grots! This is a Fire Warrior with Fantasy Goblin legs (not Night gobbo). I slapped him on a piece of cork, so that I am not modeling for advantage.
I am trying to fit in some bare headed gobbos, but their heads will require some green stuffing since they lack a back.
The Orky Broadside is a work in progress. The big shoulder guns are Killa Kan skorchas (who even uses those?). The Rocket arm is a Killa Kan missile arm with a ork boy shoulder pad covering the joint. The legs are Killa Kan arms with Killa Kan feet. I need to decide what to do for the other arm since I am running out of missile arms.

Smoke Effects: Made Easy, Cheap, and Fast out of LED lights.
Want to spice up your game visually? Don't like to work that hard? Boy, do I have the tutorial for you! Here is a picture of the required materials.
++ Glue gun
++ LED Electric tealights 6 pack (found at Michael's Craft store) ~$6
++ Stuffing used for pillows or stuffed animals (also craft store) $2
++ Black spray paint (Krylon, is what I used)
The process of construction isn't really rocket science.
1) Grab a grapefruit portion of stuffing and shape it all smoke-like by pulling at it in random directions.
2) Slather hot glue all over the top outer ring of the tealight.
3) Slap the smoke cloud on top of the tealight. Hopefully, without burning your fingers.
4) Take it outside and spray it lightly with the paint. Best part is that the paint will hold the stuffing in place, so no need to glue anymore than in step 2.
5) Done.
I went dark with mine to hide the tealight. Also, I found it looked better NOT to take off the fake bulb from the LED. It somehow makes the light brighter and more flame looking, even though it is only a cheap piece of plastic. It is a mystery.
Here is the explosion from the Land Raider before it is flicked on. There is a little toggle switch on the underside. Also, one can replace the batteries in these lights, but it is cheaper just to buy more tealights.
Bonus: I took left over stuffing and Penny coins to make little smoke markers for my Dystopian War ships. They will represent one point of damage. I made these by putting stuffing in my fist and rubbing it as a child would make a sausage out of clay.
I figure that I will use the smoke markers as damage markers since I am not a huge fan of the cardboard chits. Also, it is more cinematic this way,, too. It may get too cluttered.
Class dismissed.

Team Fortress 2 Orks: "Spahz krumpin' mah sentrah!"
SANDVICH!!! My game-bro, the Viking Librarian, finished converting up my Team Fortress 2 Orks. I love em! They got a lot of style and they capture Steam's flavor, while still being Orky. These figures will be a blast to paint up.
My only conundrum is what to count the squad as. They are too diversely equipped to represent Kommandos, so I may have to spread them throughout my army. They can always represent a Nob squad, but that is what my Marvel Super-Herorks are for. I like having the problem of too many Orks.
The Heavy standing large and in charge. He will most likely be the Nob of the Kommandos.
Pyro ork making gits do the "Burney Dance."
Spy Ork is going to get a Space Marine helmet painted on his mask. What chapter?
Soldier Ork makes me laugh, but I have a weakness for silly hats.
Snippa Ork also has a dapper hat. Thankfully, no Jarate!
Engineer Ork has an impressive wrench. He is my buddy's favorite. ZE GOGGLES!
Medic Ork is dealing out the feel-no-pain. I dig the Medi-Saw. Supposedly, no blood was spilled making it, too!
Ingenious use of bits for the Medi-Pack. Bravo!
Demo Ork is chargin'! I hate the Charging Demo in TF2!
Scout Ork is speedy with his cap. The cybork part will be painted like a Bonk Cola to fit the character, too.
Group shot! Now, I just need to decide which team to paint them as, blue or red....

Gorken Morkann: Drill, Baby, Drill.
The drills came in from a Lego Rock Raider set for my 40k Orks Deff Dread, which is actually a Mega Dread if you go by size...Anyway, I threw some more gubbins on the big guy to round him out. He is built out of the following components.
++ 1 Deff Dread
++ 3 Killa Kan bodies (1 for the head, 2 for the legs)
++ 2 Lego Rock Raider Drills (not pointy enough, but I may change that)
++ The driver from a Trukk kit for the pilot
Look who got some plasticard shades like his little buddy.
Are the drills big enough? I gotta open up those Razorbacks for their creamy centers...
See the magic here? It's literally a Deff Dread standing atop 2 Killa Kans hulls, Voltron-style.
I filled the gaps in the back of the Kan hulls with glyphs like a good Ork Mek.
Here you can see how the pilot sits atop a Kan as well. Also, covered with glyphs and the grill of a Trukk.
Back view aka the "money maker."
True Line of Sight can suck an egg. I guess I have even more reason to run a KFF now, huh?

Grotesque: Glamour Shots!
Here are the in-focus shots of the Dark Eldar Grotesques. I enjoyed kit-bashing these guys, even though my heart still waaaaghs for Orks. Picture above is my Aberration with Flesh Gauntlet. I dub thee "Captain Bad Touch."
"Clamps" with possible Scissor-hand. Too cool of a wargear name not to represent.
"Uncle Wiggly" I threw the tails back on his arm and placed a Tyranid Warrior arm. DE mess around with Nids right?
"Simmone" with his drill, stolen from a Killa Kan.
"Tequila" with his Liquifier gun. Reference anyone?
Back tank is a Deff Dread Skorcha with the burna end cut off.
